Tips for
Preventing Wildfires
1.Do not burn rice paddies, agricultural by-products, garbage in areas close to mountains.
2.Avoid entering areas designated closed to the public and closed hiking trails
3.Do not carry lighters, cigarettes or open flames and do not smoke during hiking.
4.Cooking and camping only within authorized areas.
*Make sure that fire is extinguished after use.
6.Store flammable items (trash, hay, and building materials) as far from house as possible.
7.Familiarize yourself with evacuation shelters and routes in advance.
*Evacuation shelters include town halls, schools or vacant lots far from the mountain.
