Extended Medical Service to Low Income Migrant Workers and Families

From 19th March, migrant workers and foreign spouses married with Korean citizens under financial hardships will be provided medical services thanks to the generosity of the Daniel Hospital located in Bucheon City, headed by Dr. Daein Kang.

The local authorities have recommended the beneficiaries to MOPAS. A total number of 50 beneficiaries will receive free medical care including surgeries and dental care at the Daniel Hospital.

According to the survey taken by MOPAS on May 1st, 2007 there are 722,686 immigrants in Korea and the number is growing rapidly. MOPAS is providing support to the immigrants to settle down and fully integrated as the member of the local community.
