MOPAS asked for fair election to local governments

Minister Letter sent out for election neutrality and fair election

□ With the 18th Assembly Election ahead, Sei-Hoon Won, Minister of Public Administration and Security(MOPAS), sent an official letter, asking to make effort for climate formation of fair election and neutral election by public officials, to 246 local governments nationwide on March 24th.

□ He said that “ this assembly election is very significant because it is the first election since new government launched. To satisfy the nation expecting a clean policy-oriented election, local governments should take a lead in forming a climate for fair election, along with strict neutrality.

□ He also added that local governments should not be misunderstood by administration for political advantages with the election ahead, and they are asked to remind a strict election neutrality to public officials and heads of town through a number of meetings or education.

□ Along with, he asked for cooperation enabling to deliver the government’s will for fair election to the nation effectively as well as stressed to promote legal election campaign business without mistake.

□ The Ministry of Public Administration and Security asked for interest and cooperation to be remembered as the fairest and cleanest election day in election history.
