Public Official Training from Foreign Local Governments
- MOPAS LOGODI, invited 52 officials from 9 countries -

○ Local Government Officials Development Institute(LOGODI) of MOPAS operates a preliminary course of K2H (Korea Heart to Heart) program at the International Hall of LOGODI from April 16th through 25th to 52 officials handling international exchange affairs from 9 countries such as China, Mexico and Russia.

○ K2H, ‘Korea Heart to Heart’, is the invited training program, which KLAFIR invites officials from world local governments and provides them with a chance to work on Korea local governments for 6 months and up to one year, contributing to revitalization of international exchange in local governments.

○ Training course to be conducted in LOGODI is a preliminary course prior to dispatching work by foreign officials, and which has been carried out at LOGODI for 7 consecutive years by request of KLAFIR. Trainees will participate in a lot of programs and activities such as Cheonggecheon restoration project, New Song-do City construction site, visiting local governments and local festivals, while learning Korean culture, history and basic Korean language. Accordingly, through this pre-course they will be able to obtain knowledge over social culture and administration of Korea and adapted themselves to Korea life much easily.

○ 52 officials who attended this pre-course provided by LOGODI are expected to play a bridge role in increasing exchanges between Korea and their countries after completing a work in Korea’s 39 local governments invited.

○ LOGODI has been providing education and training programs to 234 officials from 14countries through K2H program since 2002. As well, it introduced other international training course, resulting in 1021 officials completed courses from 72 countries in the world.
