The Central Disaster Safety Relief Headquarters has been established under the Ministry of Public Administration and Security as a move to combat the spread of A/H1N1 (Human Swine Influenza) virus, after raising the national alert status to the highest "red" level on November 3.

The Headquarters, headed by Minister Dalgon Lee, takes integrated response measures to the pandemic influenza through close collaboration between central government ministries and local governments and agencies concerned.
